Embracing the Art of Letting Go
FLUID
COLLECTION
Inspiration for this Collection:
In this distinctly experimental collection, the creative process began with molten wax—poured into water and across unexpected surfaces - allowing chance to shape the outcome. Only later did I realise I was exploring a loss of control, perhaps a quiet response to the first lockdown. Each form emerged organically, guided more by instinct than intention.
From these spontaneous shapes, I selected the ones that held the most intrigue and potential, refining them just enough before sending them to be cast using the ancient technique of lost-wax casting. Some pieces remain one-of-a-kind, preserving the raw immediacy of their creation. Others were further refined, moulded, and developed so they could be recast and shared more widely.
The pieces in this collection vary greatly, yet each carries the same essence: the fluidity of wax becoming silver, the freedom of material finding its own path, and the subtle guidance of the designer’s hand. Every curve and contour tells the story of a moment where control was surrendered and creativity was allowed to flow.
